PA Fire Police
Purposes of Pennsylvania Fire Police

Fire Police in the state of Pennsylvania are primarily tasked with the safety and control of emergency scenes for the benefit of all emergency personnel and all bystanders.

You will most often see us performing traffic duties in controlling traffic through or around emergency events & scenes or public events we have been requested for.

While fire police are not explicitly law enforcement in Pennsylvania, law requires everyone to listen to fire police and emergency personnel on scene and those disregarding requests is treated the same as disregarding law enforcement, and endangering others can result in being detained for law enforcement.

Please keep yourself and all emergency personnel safe by abiding all commands and if driving remember to Move Over, Slow Down.
